I am Rohit Kauntia, a Director at Vidyut Insulation Pvt Ltd, a company with nearly four decades of experience in manufacturing tubular bags for lead acid battery plates. Over the past 18 years, I have been deeply involved in the company’s journey, contributing to its upgradation, expansion, automation, joint ventures, mergers, customer acquisition, quality improvements, and new product development.
I pride myself on my people skills and my ability to plan and execute growth strategies. Alongside my partners, I ventured into the hospitality industry by establishing a tea specialty café called Chai Pani, which expanded to six outlets in Hyderabad before the pandemic. Driven by my passion for mouth fresheners, I created a curated Mukhwas called Khaas, a unique blend of dates and fennel seeds. Khaas is designed to reduce sugar consumption while focusing on health and taste, effectively meeting the oral breath needs of people after consuming tea, coffee, meals, or cigarettes. The product has been well-received, with luxury hotel brands like Taj, Marriott, Accor, and Hyatt offering it to their customers. Additionally, cinema chains like Miraj have started offering Khaas, expanding our reach to over 20 million customers across India. A significant achievement is our inclusion in Indian Navy Canteens, marking a growing story with ongoing new additions.
Entrepreneurship and innovation have always been my driving forces, but I also feel a strong urge to give back to society by sharing my learnings and experiences. This led me to pursue Happiness Coaching in 2019, completing a Certification course in Happiness Studies from the Happiness Studies Academy, designed by Professor Tal Ben Shahar from Harvard Business School.
To further enhance my professional journey and contribute strategically to entrepreneurs’ growth, I joined the Bloom Growth Bus as a Growth Coach, helping businesses simplify and prioritize processes. This role has been an enriching learning experience, especially in bringing about change in those around me. Additionally, I have been involved in nation-building activities through Young Indians, the youth wing of CII, for over 17 years, representing India at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Summit multiple times.
On a personal note, I enjoy spreading smiles, engaging in sports, writing poetry, and traveling. I have been happily married for seven years and am blessed with a daughter and a son.
